Italy has a green heart. Umbria, with medieval towns, paiting masterpieces, the rugged beauty of untouched nature and world renowned festivals.
Whatever your mood, you can find here something you would like. Fancy some cultiral experience? Wander its piazzas, visit Spoleto, Orvieto, Todi. A spiritual trip? Assisi, the town of San Francesco, the Italy's patron. Do you like paintings? Raffaello, Perugino, Giotto and Cimabue were born here and here are their masterpieces. Or if you are looking for an excuse to plunge into people, visit Umbria during one of its famous Festivals. This year, and for the first time, Festival dei due Mondi and Umbria Jazz will take place in different times, giving the public the possibility to attend both.
Festival dei Due Mondi will start on June 27 and until July 13th you'll have the possibility to see theatre, opera, chamber music and dance.
Umbria Jazz (11-20 July) celebrates this year its 35th birthday with the presence of Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hanckock, Pat Metheny e Caetano Veloso.
